Key Advantages of Ordering a Bespoke Shutter

The Bespoke Shutter Company’s name isn't an accident – we chose it to reflect the products and services we offer. But what does the word ‘bespoke’ actually mean, and how is this an advantage for you?

They are Made to Measure

The Oxford English Dictionary defines bespoke as 'goods ordered to be made, as distinguished from ready-made'. We take pride in making sure all our shutters fit your windows perfectly, with no unwanted gaps ensuring that they always fit your windows perfectly, whatever room you have them installed in.

It doesn’t matter what sort of window it is – circular, semi-circular, hexagonal, triangular – it doesn’t have to be square or rectangular. It’s one of our proudest boasts that we haven’t yet found a window we can’t fit one of our made to measure shutters to, whether you live in north or south London, Essex or Herts.

This applies whatever type of shutter you order – full-length, tier-on-tier, shaped, tracked, full height, solid or any of the other alternatives – we can fit any of our shutter styles to all windows of any size and shape.

They Have Additional Features

We don’t just supply the basic shutter – there are a load of other features to our wide range of shutter styles that you will enjoy. These include Mortise and tennon joints for a solid and secure construction, UV protection to aid longevity, plus a comprehensive warranty. We also only use high-quality wood in our products, ensuring a high standard of longevity and sustainability to our shutters.

They Come in the Finish You Want

Our bespoke approach doesn’t just apply to the size of your shutters, but also to their design and colour finish.

Although our standard shutters are white, harking back to the original plantation shutters from the southern States of the USA (because they reflect sunlight away and prevent rooms from getting too hot), you don’t have to opt for that style if you don’t want to.

We have a range of colours and stains that will give your shutters a really individual look – whether it's traditional or contemporary, they will still look stylish and last a long time too. For more information on the available finishes for our shutters, follow this link.

Our Reputation and Customer Service

Don't just take our word for it – check out the testimonials from our delighted customers on Checkatrade, where reputation matters.

We also have many years of experience in fitting plantation shutters to homes and businesses in and around London (including in Essex and Hertfordshire); we have also fitted them to boats as well!

We Offer a Trade Service Too

Our made to measure shutters aren't just for private domestic customers – we offer a service to designers, architects and property developers as well.

If you have unusual or specific requirements, we are happy to come out and meet you on site or in your offices to discuss your needs. For more information follow this link.

And Once Your Shutters Are Installed...

You get all the benefits of window shutters – something that really stands out from other properties (and you should really feel the benefit if you ever sell up and move, or as estate agents like to call it, kerb appeal).

And you should save money on your heating bills, as surveys have suggested they can reduce heat loss in the home by as much as 64%.

Rooms fitted with shutters stay cool in summer, and warm in winter – and you can not only open or close your shutters completely, you can also adjust the angle of the panels or louvres, giving you maximum control over heat and light.
